Artículos DestacadosDiciembre 2007 PUBLICATIONS | Negotiating Peace in Liberia and Sierra LeoneThe ICTJ is pleased to present two new publications on the peace processes in Liberia and Sierra Leone. In Negotiating Peace in Liberia: Preserving the Possibility for Justice and Negotiating Peace in Sierra Leone: Confronting the Justice Challenge, ICTJ co-founder Priscilla Hayner examines the dynamics behind the peace negotiations in both countries, particularly as they relate to justice and accountability. These publications--co-published with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva--represent ground-breaking in-country research based on extensive interviews with many of the participants who were central to the peace talks. In addition to examining how specific justice elements came to be included or excluded from the Sierra Leonean and Liberian peace accords, Hayner's work also documents the implementation of justice measures in the agreements since their signing in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
