Heythem Guesmi is the Program Officer on Gender and Reparation in ICTJ, Tunis.

After graduating from the High Institute of Agronomy of Sousse with an engineering diploma in Horticulture in 2017, he worked in the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) as an assistant in the department of Climate and Environmental Justice. He had a short experience with Nawaat.org in music critics evolving around the underground post-revolution music scene in Tunisia. Inter alia, he worked in different freelance jobs such as research assistance, translation, music production and consultancy with ICTJ on a briefing paper on “Youth Role in Promoting Accountability for Corruption in Tunisia”.

Being among the Tunisian youth who has witnessed the Revolution, he joined the revolutionary process in different groups and campaigns such as “Manich Msamah” (Tunisian dialect for “I will not forgive”) against the Amnesty Law proposed by the Presidency back in 2015.
