Naryi is a political scientist, specialist in public management and administrative institutions at Universidad de Los Andes and Master's student in political science at the same university.

She has worked as a research coordinator and researcher in international cooperation projects for public, private and academic organizations, aimed at understanding the dynamics of organized violence in Colombia and Latin America, and the institutional response to it. Before joining the ICTJ, Naryi worked as an analyst in the Analysis Office of the Bogotá Security Secretariat; she is a researcher in the Research Group on armed conflicts, peacebuilding and global security studies at the Universidad de Los Andes; Consultant for the United States Agency for International Development Cooperation in the Human Rights Program with the aim of supporting the Specialized Directorate against Human Rights Violations - DECVDH of the Attorney General's Office for the promotion of cases of threats against human rights defenders and social leaders; and as a researcher and research coordinator at Fundación Paz y Reconciliación.
