Colombia Receives DEA Evidence of Alleged FARC Involvement in Drug Trafficking

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) submitted evidence to Colombian authorities in their bid to secure the extradition of a demobilized FARC leader. They claim the FARC leader was still involved in the drug trade as recently as early this year. After the evidence is studied by Colombian authorities, the transitional justice tribunal will decide whether the FARC leader should be excluded from the peace process. The Colombian Supreme Court will then decide if the evidence is sufficient to extradite the FARC leader to the United States.
