Serbian Court Finds ‘Informer’ Editor Guilty of Hate Speech


The Belgrade Higher Court recently ruled that allegations published in the pro-government Serbian tabloid Informer constituted hate speech. The article in question accused various NGOs of receiving millions of euros from Western countries to create conflicts in Serbia and used anti-sematic and anti-Albanian tropes and slurs. The editor of the tabloid was ordered to publish the verdict and pay court fees.
