María Margarita is in charge of managing the social media channels of the ICTJ in Spanish and contributing to the communications objectives of the organization in close coordination with the NYC office. She assists the ICTJ in Colombia with the coordination of communications projects and multimedia production strategies that best portray the values of truth, justice and dignity in Spanish-speaking countries with transitional justice processes. Before joining the ICTJ, María Margarita worked as a videographer and content producer for several media outlets and organizations, mainly focused on topics such as peace, human rights, memory work and education. She also completed an internship in the Department of Public Information of the United Nations in New York. María Margarita is a BA in Journalism and Public Opinion from Universidad del Rosario (Colombia).
