Colombian Army Deploys Hundreds of Soldiers in Country’s Southwest After Land Dispute Leaves 7 Dead

Colombian security forces Friday flooded into the southwestern municipality of Silvia following a violent territorial dispute between two Indigenous groups the day before that left at least seven people dead and more than 100 injured. 
  
The army said on social media that more than 500 soldiers, along with air support, would be deployed to the area to provide security for the communities and prevent the situation from escalating.

At Least One Killed, 21 Wounded in Car Bomb Explosion in Syria’s Damascus

A car bomb explosion near a Syrian Defense Ministry building in Damascus has killed at least one soldier and wounded more than 20 people, authorities say. 
  
In a statement carried by state media on Tuesday, the ministry said members of an army unit had discovered an improvised explosive device planted near the site in the Bab Sharqi district of the capital. As they moved to defuse it, a car bomb exploded in the same area, it added, without offering more details. 
 

At Least 22 Killed in Israeli Attacks on Lebanon in 24 Hours: Ministry

At least 22 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the past 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry, despite a 45-day ceasefire extension. 
  
The total death toll since March 2 when the fighting resumed between Israel and Hezbollah has reached 3,042, the ministry said in a statement published on Tuesday, 24 hours after reporting 3,020 deaths. 
 
According to the country’s state-run National News Agency (NNA), at least six people have been killed since dawn.
