ICTJ Launches New Arabic Website

15/08/2011

We are pleased to announce the launch of ICTJ's new Arabic website at ictj.org/ar.

The website’s redesign comes as part of ICTJ’s effort to make our expertise and knowledge readily available to audiences in the Middle East, North Africa and other Arabic-speaking countries.

David Tolbert, ICTJ president, remarked: "We at ICTJ stand shoulder to shoulder with the people calling for justice in Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Bahrain, Yemen, the rest of the region and around the world. The ultimate purpose of our expertise is to help them build just societies, societies that will guarantee human rights and provide justice and redress for those who suffered. We are constantly strengthening our contribution in the Middle East and North Africa and the new website in Arabic will serve as an important tool for our mission."

This site will provide us with an excellent platform to share expert analysis on transitional justice developments and provide access to our publications in an easy-to-use format. We hope this will be a helpful resource for you and a means to better engage with Arabic speakers interested in transitional justice.

“In these times of change, we hope that the Arabic website will provide local activists with resources to help them reflect on ways to address past human rights violations and reinforce the rule of law,” stressed Habib Nassar, director of ICTJ’s Middle East and North Africa program.

We are confident the Arabic site will serve to support our current programming in Egypt, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and the rest of the region. We encourage you to provide us with feedback and to share the address with all of your contacts.
