The UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approved resolutions Wednesday demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and expressing support for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees that Israel has moved to ban. General Assembly resolutions are not legally binding, although they reflect world opinion. 

A gang leader accused of killing more than 100 people in Haiti’s capital to avenge his son’s death was still persecuting residents on Tuesday, according to a rare witness account. 

A court in France has found French-Cameroonian author Charles Onana guilty of downplaying the Rwandan genocide.

Sudan's military has been accused of carrying out an air strike on a marketplace in the western region of Darfur in which more than 100 people were reportedly killed.

Two former high-ranking Syrian intelligence officials have been charged with war crimes for allegedly torturing Americans and other civilians who were deemed enemies by the Syrian government and held in a military prison, the U.S. Department of Justice said Monday. 

ICTJ accompanied more than 10 Sudanese victim stakeholders to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague to attend the closing statements in the case of The Prosecutor v.
