En 2021, la República Centroafricana creó la Comisión de Verdad, Justicia, Reparación y Reconciliación (CVJRR) para establecer la verdad, buscar justicia y restaurar la dignidad de las víctimas, con miras a lograr la reconciliación nacional. En este frágil país, azotado por sucesivos episodios de violencia, las víctimas exigen justicia durante toda su vida. Después de una larga fase de puesta en marcha, la CVJRR finalmente se está preparando para comenzar a registrar y escuchar los testimonios de las víctimas. El primer paso en este proceso es la toma de declaraciones, lo que requiere varios factores clave para tener éxito.

Libyan civil society organizations are fighting against all odds to support victims of human rights violations. In doing so, they themselves risk violence and do their work despite the visible and invisible pain they feel and the innumerable obstacles placed in front of them. Renewed global attention on the Libyan conflict and two new draft laws to protect activists and others may help.
