La condamnation d'Abd-Al-Rahman et ses conséquences pour les victimes dans le contexte des atrocités qui se poursuivent au Soudan

Le 6 octobre, la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) a reconnu l'ancien chef de milice Janjawid, Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman (également connu sous le nom d'Ali Kushayb), coupable de 27 chefs d'accusation de crimes contre l'humanité et de crimes de guerre commis au Darfour entre août 2003 et mars 2004. Ce verdict historique met fin aux cycles d'impunité au Soudan et envoie un message fort : ces crimes ne sont pas tolérés.

Le combat permanent pour la justice pour les victimes de guerre : un entretien avec Fernando Travesí-Sanz de l'ICTJ

Le média PassBlue a récemment interviewé Fernando Travesí-Sanz, directeur exécutif de l'ICTJ, au sujet des défis et des avancées rencontrés par l'ICTJ dans sa démarche visant à faciliter l'accès à la justice transitionnelle, menée par les victimes, en Syrie après la chute d'Assad. M. Travesí-Sanz a comparé cette expérience aux enseignements tirés de la transition post-conflit en Colombie, révélant ainsi la nature nuancée et fragile de la justice rétroactive et de la consolidation de la paix à long terme.
